MPO Trips
The UMPO organizes trips to attend concerts by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO, in KLCC). The purpose of these trips is to expose UMPO members to the highest level of orchestral performances in Malaysia & encourage appreciation for classical music. The OG has attended the following concerts:

Intensive Music Camps
In 2008, the UMPO organized the Intensive Music Camp I jointly with Jabatan Kebudayaan & Kesenian Pahang at Wisma Belia, Indera Mahkota. The purpose of the camp is to expose members to the art of performing & enhance their technical skills. The camp's duration is 1 week & new songs are taught by the instructors at Wisma Belia. 2 more camps are being planned to continue this tradition (Intensive Music Camp II & Intensive Music Camp III), hopefully at the beautiful Cherating beach.
Music Recitals
Similar to the Intensive Music Camps, music recitals are held to train new performing members to build confidence while performing on-stage. The repertoire selected is simple & the recital is conducted on-campus.
Music Clinics & Seminars
The UMPO sends their members to music clinics & seminars to provide access to musical knowledge & tutelage that isn't available on-campus. Upcoming clinics are listed below:

Masterclass
The UMPO has plans to conduct masterclasses for specific instruments to boost the members' education on that instrument. The UMPO will invite guest tutors to provide the knowledge needed for that boost.

Charity Concerts
The UMPO has performed in charity concerts as part of our endeavor to contribute back to the public. An independent charity concert is in the works, which will include performances from local school bands, music schools & music groups from other institutions of higher learning. The purpose of the concert is to promote appreciation for music & to generate revenue to be given to charity organizations in Pahang.
