In conjunction with their convocation, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) will be organizing the Clash of the Bands between other public universities. UMPO has lined up the band that will take us as close as possible to the winning circle; training has started, song selection is on & spirits are high! Wish us luck! Stay tuned for updates!
After careful deliberation, we have selected the successful applicants of the UMPO Audition 25/7/2010 held recently! PS. Some names may not be presented accurately. We apologize for the inconvenience.  Calling all UMP-ians, UMPO is opening its doors for YOU to sign up! We'll be organizing a big recruitment drive this Sunday (25/7/2010) at the UMP Studio, 1st Floor of the Sports Complex. Tentative is as follows:
10am- Audition (for performances) 2pm- Interview (for management team) For the audition you are encouraged to bring your own instruments. However UMPO will provide instruments if you don't have your own. The Audition - recruit new performing members - need to have basic knowledge in music - confident & willing to learn - able to work in a team - individuals with performing experiences (school band, functions, gigs etc) are most welcome The Interview - recruit new management members - go behind the scenes of every performance - no background in music necessary - must be cooperative & have a strong desire to learn - experience in handling technical details (lighting, staging, sound-check etc). is valuable, although not necessary Think you got what it takes? Then sign up this Sunday! If the answer is yes, then head on to our club's Annual General Meeting this Friday (23/7/2010), 8pm at WBK22. We encourage 1st year students to attend, especially those with mu Malam Gagasan Budaya is back! Showcasing performances by the various cultural groups as well as the UMPO, this event provides an introduction to the various cultural student groups in UMP. Especially targeted to the 1st year juniors, enjoy the shows lined up & remember to register for your favored group!
Location: Foyer of Block W Date: 20/7/2010 Time: 8.45-11pm Remember to bring RM5 (per semester) for registration fees! See you there! This wind band will be performing alongside the state's gamelan made up of youths & the concert will be held at the RTM Auditorium, today 8-11.30pm. Admission is free & the dress code is formal.
